Sharon reminds everyone to remember the reason for Memorial Day and thank a veteran for their service.

She also had an update regarding the effort to bring a farmer’s market back to Carroll County.  The plan is to start a Saturday market on the square in Carrollton.  The next step is to propose the idea to the Carrollton City Council at their next meeting, which is Monday June 3rd.  If Council is on board with the plan, Metz says they will move forward and start the farmers market sometime in the next few weeks.

The Carrollton Area Economic Alliance office is closed for Memorial Day.  They will resume normal hours Tuesday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.  You can reach the Carrollton Area Economic Alliance office by calling 660-542-0922.
