“We are having [the school zone] changed to North Jefferson to Mason Street,” Bell said. “That’s going to be the school zone we are going to put under 15 miles per hour during school hours, and that will be from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. After that, it will go back to 25 miles per hour. This is only during school hours, when the school is open.”

The Council had a light agenda, with only two items of business and the regular reports from the Mayor, Council, and the Chiefs of Fire and Police. The second item of business concerned a woodchipper.

“The council agreed we would give the woodchipper to the park,” stated Bell. “They were contemplating and instead of us selling it on the the public surplus property, we decided to donate that to the park department. So that will be put to good use for them to use in the park.”

The next meeting of the Carrollton City Council will take place on January 20 at 6:00 in the evening.
