The Carroll County Farmer’s Market continues to grow since being reinstated. Click to hear KMZU’s Stephanie Shannon speak with Carrollton Area Economic Alliance Executive Director Sharon Metz:
The selection of produce and number of vendors continues to grow. Metz said the first week they had only three or four vendors, but the most recent market filled the west side of the Carrollton square. “We’ve got pies, and cakes, and bread, and jams. And there was a couple of booths that had homemade barbequue sauce,” said Metz.
The market begins with the ringing of the bell every Saturday at 8:00, and runs until 12:00 p.m. “I will tell you, the ones that come and participate actually sell out before 12:00 comes,” said Metz.
Vendor space is free, but must be something that was produced or made in the area.
