Carrollton man accused in February 2018 shooting to appear in court Wednesday

CARROLL COUNTY, Mo. — A resident of Carrollton accused of shooting a man in February will be in court Wednesday morning in Carroll County.

Court records indicate 65-year-old Rex Stacy was charged with one felony each for first degree assault – causing serious physical injury and armed criminal action after allegedly shooting a person in the 900 block of Park Street in Carrollton February 16.

A probable cause statement alleges Stacy shot his victim twice, critically injuring them.

Stacy was released from custody April 2 on own recognizance bond. He is scheduled to appear in a Carroll County courtroom for a hearing Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
