Carrollton Old Highway 24 Remains Closed

Progress continues to complete work to the lift station and sewer system on Old Highway 24 in Carrollton.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Wastewater Department Superintendent Randy Johnson:

They are rebuilding a pump station and installing a UV clarifying system.  The total cost of the project is $5.4 million.

Old Highway 24, on the south end of Carrollton, remains closed while work is underway. “There have been a few problems with the public, but, like I say, when you’re used to going that way it’s kind of hard to change your plans,” said Johnson.

Johnson pointed out that all businesses in the area are still accessible.  They are currently on-track to reopen the road July 1st.
