Cars and a residence hit by gunfire on Claudell Lane in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Columbia Police Department are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred in the early morning hours on Claudell Lane.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Claudell Lane at 2:02 a.m., today, August 12, 2017, in reference to shots heard. Multiple calls were received to Boone County Joint Communications and one complaint reported several people were running in the vicinity.

Upon officers’ arrival they located multiple shell casings in the area. Three vehicles and one residence had been struck by the gunfire. No injuries were reported and the amount of property damage is unknown at this time.
