The body of a Southwest Missouri girl found that was found weighted down in Truman Lake and Benton County Coroner Jim Miller has recently announced that a cause of death cannot yet be determined.

15-year-old Khigla Park’s death has been ruled a homicide; however, toxicology reports show no signs of trauma, disease or drug use, just a small amount of alcohol in the Willard, Mo. Teen’s blood. Miller reportedly says that asphyxiation is still a possible cause.

47-year-old Anthony Balbirnie of Springfield, Mo. is charged with abandonment of a corpse. Parks was last seen with Balbirnie at a Buffalo Missouri home on September 21st. No other charges have been filed at this time.

Parks was removed from the lake on September 30th.
