Cell Phone Evidence Seized

Livingston County authorities have seized evidence in a sexual misconduct investigation. The Sheriff’s Department reports they have taken possession of one or more cell phones belonging to Jessica Elaine Hursman, 22, of Chillicothe. They allegedly contain video evidence. She is facing one count of sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child less than 15 years old. Hursman appeared for an arraignment on Wednesday. Her bond was set at $5,000, and has been posted. She will next appear on the sixth of November.

An investigation of alleged Sexual Misconduct or Attempt Involving a Child under the age of 15 has taken a step toward being concluded. We have seized cell phone(s) which allegedly contains video evidence. Deputies arrested Jessica Elaine Hursman, 22, Chillicothe for alleged Sexual Misconduct or Attempt Involving a Child under 15 years of age, 1st offense. Ms. Hursman was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail and appeared before Judge Valbracht the afternoon of October 23. Ms. Hursman’s bond was initially placed at $5,000 but has since posted bail on case number 13LV-CR00478. Division of Family Services has assisted on this investigation.
