Change of Judge Granted to Cole

The former CEO of Mamtek has been granted a change of judge.  A Randolph County Judge has also denied a request by 65-year-old Bruce Cole’s public defender to withdraw from the case.  The attorney stated Cole’s social security income exceeding standard guidelines as a reason.  Cole is accused of inappropriately using funds from a $39 million bond that was intended to build an artificial sweetener factory in Moberly.  The judge also denied Cole a reduction in bond this week, but did allow him a surety.
