Child Abuse Case Warrant Issued

A Cole Camp resident is wanted by the Camden County Circuit Court to face charges of murder and child abuse.

Rafael Alejo, 28, is charged with second degree murder and abuse of a child causing serious injury.  According to the probable cause statement, Alejo allegedly punched his girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter in the stomach and caused her death in March of this year.

His change of venue request has put the case in Camden County. On June 28th the court found cause and issued the warrant for Alejo’s arrest.
