The city official said the new facility in Simpson Park should open for the season, as planned, in May. “We’ve been fortunate to have pretty good working weather,” said Holland, “We’ve got 90% of the pool surface complete and the lazy river is about half done. We should be getting those walls up within the next three weeks. The bath house and chemical building are also nearing 50% completion.”

Features at Chilli Bay will include a lazy river, various slides, and a children’s area. The budget for the project is just over $4 million.
