The Chillicothe City Council took a tour of the new water park this week. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with City Administrator Ike Holland:
Holland has made Chilli Bay his priority for the month of April. “In any project there’s always…You’ve got to tweak things,” said Holland, “The elevation, after looking at it, it just didn’t make sense. And so we reset some elevation. There’s some spacing issues, and we changed those things. But those are, like I said, in any project.”
The water slides should be installed by the end of the week. Features at Chilli Bay will include a lazy river, various slides, and a children’s area. The budget for the project is slightly more than $4 million.
Council plans to have it open by Memorial Day.
