Chillicothe Fire Dept. Aids Wheeling

The Chillicothe Fire Department was called for mutual aid assistance with the Wheeling Fire Department, Saturday at 2:p.m.. When they arrived South of Highway 36 on Liv 259, approximately one acre of grassland and timber was burning. The property owner was not present. A neighbor burning a brush pile started the fire, that was spread by gusty winds. A brush truck and utility vehicle were used to extinguish the flames. No structural damage or injuries were reported.
