A Chillicothe man has been arrested and charged following the hospitalization of his young child.  Timothy Orr, 21, was reportedly left with the baby on November 12th while the child’s mother went to the doctor for a follow-up visit after delivery.  When she returned, she noticed the baby acting abnormally and had bruising on his face and shoulder.  The infant was transported from Hedrick Medical Center to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City where he has been diagnosed with swelling and bleeding of the brain.  According to medical staff, it is believed the baby will have permanent brain damage.  Orr has admitted to shaking the child after becoming frustrated with his crying.  He is being held at the Livingston County jail on a $250,000 bond and will appear for a preliminary hearing on November 28th.
