Despite the heat, residents of Chillicothe turned out to voice their opinions on Wednesday night on the city’s proposed water park project. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to Parks and Recreation Director Josh Norris:
“First thing after we wrap up these meetings, we will sit down and begin going through the surveys,”said Norris,”We will figure out a theme and a name and that those for approval before the city council. Once that is done, we will meet with the architects and begin preliminary designs and get their feedback.”
A full array of features were available from which citizens could choose. Officials say that the number of features in the park will be determined by which options are chosen and the cost of each. Water’s Edge Design has been contracted to oversee the project and the water park is expected to open for the 2013 summer season.
