A friendly reminder about shoveling

In lieu of the coming snowfall, the Trenton Police Department would like to remind everyone that they should remove the snow from the sidewalks in front of their residence or business.

CHAPTER 540: SIDEWALK CODE
G. Deposits–Responsibility.
2. The owner and occupant of any lot or tract within the City shall be mutually responsible and obligated to keep the gutter and sidewalk in front of such lot or tract clear of mud, dirt, snow, ice, trash and other objects.

The Trenton Police Department will begin enforcing this ordinance at the conclusion of the snowfall.

Additionally, per the Trenton Street Department, the Snow Ordinance will be in effect during the following times:

Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 11pm
to Monday, March 3, 2014, morning at 0700 hours

Please ensure that all vehicles are moved from the streets in these areas.

Additionally, if you have a driveway, please move your vehicles into the driveway to make it easier to plow residential streets.
