Commercial structure fire being investigated in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Mo.- Extensive damage was reported following a commercial structure fire in downtown Huntsville, Mo., at an auto shop.

According to Chief Tony Bell, firefighters responded to the report on Main Street at Wales Auto and Tire where heavy smoke and fire was seen coming from the roof of the building. An all-call was put out to fire departments in Randolph County to assist and firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in approximately 10 minutes.

Chief Bell also stated the structure suffered “about 80%” smoke and fire damage.

The cause of the fire is currently undetermined and being investigated by the state fire marshal’s office.
