Mayfield said they are in the process of reviewing some issues that were raised concerning John Smith.  He said they are following procedure.

“Then once we gather all the facts we will take appropriate action,” said Mayfield.

According to Mayfield, the information that raised the concerns originated from within the district.

Other staff at the school have been reassigned to serve in administrative roles while Smith is out.

The Missouri Children’s Division is conducting a separate investigation.
