Continuance Granted to Excelsior Springs Man

An Excelsior Springs resident appeared in a Ray County Courtroom Wednesday morning on charges of statutory rape.  Ernest Guy Cozadd, 50, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a minor less than 14 years of age.  His criminal setting has been continued to February 13th at 9:00.  Cozadd is being held on bond of $40,000.
