Cooper Co. Body Identified

Authorities with the Missouri State Highway Patrol are investigating after a body was found Wednesday morning in Cooper County. Law enforcement officials reported finding the body of a young, African-American female along Crab Orchard Road (south of Boonville) around 9:00 a.m. Authorities are treating the investigation as a homicide. Cooper County Sheriff Jerry Wolfe said a few of the leads they have developed point to the Columbia area.

Just before 5 o’clock Thursday evening the Sheriff’s Facebook page announced the identity of the victim as Satina T. Beckner, 32, of Columbia.

Sheriff Wolfe advises that investigators working on the homicide of the black female found along a rural Cooper County road Wednesday morning, the 9th of October, are now able to release the name of the victim. The victim has been identified as 32 year old Satina T. Beckner of Columbia Missouri. A number of investigators continue to work on the case. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
