Cooper Co. Murder Suspect in Court

The case against Bryant L. Holmes, 23, of Columbia is set for a hearing Tuesday morning in Cooper County.

Holmes is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Satina Beckner, 32, of Columbia.

The autopsy determined Beckner died due to blunt force trauma. The Cooper County Sheriff’s Office reports they believe the victim and Holmes had an on again, off again relationship over the past few years.

Holmes is being held in the Cooper County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He is due in Cooper Co. Court Tuesday morning at 10:30 for a counsel status hearing.
