Council Approves Ordinances, Reviews Audit

A pair of ordinances were approved by the Lexington City Council at their meeting Tuesday night.

The council adopted a pair of ordinances. The first defined definition of occupied structures. Rounds says it was a problem in the community due to a dilapidated building in the community. The other requires the Mayor, Council and Administrator to file financial disclosure statements. Rounds says this has to be looked at every two years.

The council also accepted the annual audit of the city. Rounds says they will continue to look at adopting a policy recommended by the Auditor to help the community handle funds more efficiently.
