Council Searches for Funding

Lexington City Council is looking at options to pay for the City Administrator they plan to hire.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Mayor Jerry Brown:

They have directed a four percent across-the-board cut to the general operating budget.  This would require several cutbacks from department heads.  It could prevent the hiring of part-time police officers and result in fewer road repairs.

Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday evening at 7:00 to discuss options.
