Counselor Charged with Medicaid Fraud

A Licensed Professional Counselor in Springfield has been charged with numerous felonies related to Medicaid filings.

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster made the announcement Friday. According to the press release Sherri Grove is charged with eight class C felonies, punishable by up to 7 years in prison for each violation, plus penalties and restitution.

Grove allegedly billed Medicaid for services that were not rendered over a six month period in 2012. Total losses to the Medicaid program is reported to be approximately $2,000.
