Central District competition for the Country Gospel Music Association Convention starts Monday.  Click to hear KMZU’s Chris Clift speak with Host Steven Minot:

Performers in 35 different categories will compete to go to the International Convention in Branson.  Monday and Tuesday serve as a meet and greet, the competition gets underway on Wednesday, and the awards will be handed out on Saturday night.  Only members of the Country Gospel Music Association are allowed to participate, but the public is welcome to watch the event, located at the Farris Theater in Richmond.
