Court Appearance in Murder Case

One of the men charged in a Warrensburg resident’s death will be in court Wednesday morning.

Alonzo Ruff, 20, and Anthony Williams, 23, are accused of entering the a Kansas City home and opening fire. Aaron Markarian, 23, a music student at UMKC, died at the scene. The two men have both been charged with murder, five counts of armed criminal action, three counts of assault, and one count of robbery.

Ruff will appear in a Kansas City courtroom for a pre-trial conference at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. His case is being heard in Jackson County Criminal Court. Williams is scheduled to go to trial in March.
