Court Appearance Updates

A Bosworth resident entered a plea of not guilty this week.  John Buchko, 35, has been charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action stemming from an incident in September of 2012.  The pre-trial conference for Buchko has been scheduled for May 9th.  He will go before a jury on May 28th.

A Clinton man made an appearance in a Benton County court room on Tuesday. Lonny Mays, 68, was charged with murder and armed criminal action following an incident in March 2012 in which he allegedly opened fire on his neighbor, Rudy Romdall, 66. The prosecution moved for additional time to provide discovery.  The matter has now been reset for the 23rd of April.

Further proceedings have been scheduled for a Marshall woman.  Tami Love, 34, is one of four individuals charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a methamphetamine precursor with intent to manufacture.  Love will appear for a pre-trial conference on the 20th of May.  A jury trial has been scheduled for the case in June.

A Richmond resident accused of chasing down and shooting at another vehicle has been bound over to circuit court.  Christopher Graham, 19, will appear for an initial arraignment February 13th at 9:00.  Graham and Zarek Cook, 21, were both charged with discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, armed criminal action, assault, and resisting arrest.

The case for an Independence resident has been continued.  Louis Jones, 33, is one of two men charged in a July burglary in Lafayette County.  He and Jonathan Davis, of Oak Grove, allegedly attempted to enter a home in the western portion of the county.  Jones was shot by the homeowner.  Jones will next appear in Court February 13th at 9:00.
