The Welde’s are proud to bring to you their beautiful family of bruins. Presenting their bears as ambassadors for bears in the wild, the Welde’s Big Bear Expedition sends a vital message of conservation and preservation for all bear species.
“Their definently not your average domestic sheep or pig that you see at the State Fair,” Said Monica Welde. “They’ve been in my husband’s family for 87 years. We’re kind of their Mama Bear, Papa Bear surrogates.”
The Welde’s have developed an educational presentation and exhibit filled with bear facts and information while admiring their natural beauty and sometimes, comical antics of these majestic creatures. The bears are trained with respect, love and affection by enhancing their natural behaviors and developing the individual personality of each bear.
You can see this amazing show each day at the 2013 Missouri State Fair just West of the Ag Building at 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
