Bright Futures Daycare and Preschool in Higginsville has had its license suspended.  According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, an investigation was launched the day after they received reports that a three-year-old had been left alone in a park.

The suspension letter indicates the child’s mother was not informed they would take a field trip on April 4th, and that afternoon received a call from a friend stating that her child was alone at Fairground Park.  Director Amy Catron admitted to Child Care Facility Specialist Connie Ferro they did not do headcounts, and the license was immediately suspended.
