There will be presentations on last year’s drought and increasing yield stability.  Other programs will focus on cover crops and crop pests.  Reservations can be made by contacting the Ray County Extension Center at (816) 776-6961.  The deadline has been extended from last Friday.

The Annual Soils and Crops Conference is an event that gives producers the opportunity to hear the latest information and ideas from University of Missouri specialists; allowing them to make pivotal management decisions from research-based data. During the seminar, State Specialist with MU Extension, will make presentations and answer questions on the following topics: Missouri Drought, Management Techniques to Increase Yield Stability, Cover Crops, and a Crop Pest Update. Four continuing education units (CEUs) for Certified Crop Advisors will be available. The Annual Soils and Crops Conference is open to the public and will be held on February 6, 2013 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Ray County Veterans Memorial Community Building (312 Clark St., Richmond, MO). Lunch will be provided. For more information, refer to the attached brochure. To register for the conference, contact the Ray County Extension Center at (816) 776-6961. The cost to attend the seminar is $10 per person, and registration must be received by February 1st to assure adequate food. All fees collected will be used to offset the costs of the conference.
