PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — A crash on northbound Interstate 29 Sunday night sent two people to an area hospital with injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to I-29 just south of 64th Street in Platte County at approximately 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

A vehicle driven by Christian M. Corder, 26, of Kansas City, was traveling north when Corder swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. This caused the car to run off the right side of the road and strike the guardrail.

Corder sustained minor injuries in the accident while his passenger, 26-year-old Lawson resident Paris V. Templeton was moderately injured. They were both taken to North Kansas City Hospital to receive treatment.
