The Farmer’s Electric Cooperative’s 21st Annual Area Youth Benefit Dinner, Auction and Golf Tournament will be held August 4th and 5th at the Chillicothe Elk’s Lodge in Chillicothe.

The golf tournament will be Monday at Green Hills Golf Course. Every golfer will receive a free polo shirt, sleeve of golf balls and more.

The dinner will begin Sunday with a reception at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. During the event several silent auctions will take place with the live auction conducted by Mike Miller beginning around 7:15 p.m.

F.E.C. has gathered a wide array of bid items this year including a week-long stay at a Florida condo, a suite for 20 at Kauffman Stadium during a Royals game and much more.

The Area Youth Benefit Fund provides financial assistance for children up to 18-years of age who have been ill or suffered injury and their parents do not have enough money or insurance coverage to cover medical expenses.

To date the AYBF has donated $564,049.27 to 551 area families in the counties of Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Linn, Livingston and Ray. Families that live outside of those counties, but are F.E.C. customers are also offered assistance.

To learn more about the AYBF and how to sign up for the tournament and attend the dinner and auction, go to the F.E.C. website, or call 660-646-4281 or 1-800-279-0496.
