A Cole Camp resident sustained moderate injuries in a crash early Tuesday morning in Pettis County.  The accident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Highway 65, less than a mile north of Highway 52.

The Highway Patrol reports William Craig, 41, was driving on the wrong side of Highway 65 when he slammed head-on into a tractor-trailer driven by Noel Twenter, 52, of Pilot Grove.  Twenter had stopped in the southbound lane to avoid the collision.  He was not injured.  Craig was transported to Bothwell Hospital.  He’s now facing charges of driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong way resulting in an accident, and other traffic-related offenses.
