Drug Bust Results in Nine Arrests

A nine-month investigation into distribution of controlled substances has netted some results for the Marshall Police Department. Officers have took nine people into custody on drug-related charges, with more arrests possible in the future. The operation ended with a saturation patrol.

A nearly nine month investigation by the Marshall Police Department into the distribution of controlled substances has ended with a saturation patrol by the Marshall Police Officers resulting in the arrest of nine subjects for various drug violations.

The arrested are:

Drarese R. Derrick, 45 years old, living in Marshall: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (morphine) near schools, possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia

Cedric G. Derrick, 57 years old, living in Marshall: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (morphine) near schools

Michael T. Arnold Jr., 32 years old, living in Marshall: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia

Kelly J. Taylor, 50 years old, living in Marshall: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (oxycodone) near schools

Ronnie Taylor, 57 years old, living in Marshall: three counts of distribution of a controlled substance (oxycodone) near schools

Sasha M. Davenport, 25 years old, living in Marshall: one count of distribution of a controlled substance (oxycodone) near public housing, one count of distribution of a controlled substance (oxycodone) near schools and one count of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) near schools

Cody J. Scharnhorst, 34 years old, living in Napton: two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) near schools

Elise A. Jacobs, 24 years old, living in Marshall: one count of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) near schools and one count of distribution of an imitation controlled substance

Dawn R. Huston, 36 years old, living in Marshall: possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia and a fugitive from justice with three Saline County warrants for distribution of a controlled substance

Additional arrests are expected.
