LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. – A Higginsville resident arrested after police were called to his residence on March 4 was charged with a felony, according to the probable cause statement.
Ronnie Lee Edwards, 40, received three charges, including a felony for possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of Marijuana. The probable cause statement claims police were called to his residence after an anonymous individual advised police that Edwards was in his front yard armed with a pistol and appeared to be high. After receiving permission from Edwards, police searched his residence and found multiple drug-related items, including methamphetamine.
He was transported to Lafayette County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold. His bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety with special conditions.
