Drug-related charges pending against Butler resident

BATES COUNTY, Mo. — A Butler woman was accused of drug possession in Bates County early Monday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, troopers detained Kayle P. Cooper, 21, at about 1:18 a.m. Monday. Cooper is now preliminarily charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. She was also wanted on a felony Bates County warrant.

Cooper was taken to the Bates County Jail where she was eligible to post bond. Formal charges are currently pending.
