A Marshall man was arrested in September of last year in a raid on an area home and was in court this past week for a jury trial.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies allegedly found more than a half pound of marijuana, digital scales, and packaging materials at the home in the 600 block of North Ellsworth.

Christopher Artis Jr., 24, is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Proceedings in the trial are on hold at the moment as subpoenas have been issued in the case by both the defense and prosecution.

A date to resume the trial has not yet been set according to online court records.
