Earthquake in St. Joseph causes tremors

ST. JOSEPH, MO – The U.S. Geological Survey reported the epicenter of an earthquake underneath St. Joseph today.

The report placed the location just on the Missouri River bank in the city. It measured at 2.6 magnitude, causing tremors to be felt as far away as Cameron, according to some residents. The depth of the quake was around 7.5 miles underneath the upper crust. It occurred approx. 5:46 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
