Old equipment will be collected and recycled. “Anybody who has an old computer, any kind of computer component, printer, scanner, TV, CRT monitors, copiers, you name it,” said Lightfoot. “Any kind of electronics. They even take old VHS movies as well. Or any kind of software programs.”

The idea came when she started clearing old equipment out of the back room.

“Knowing that I was not going to re-purpose those computers, I started looking for a place for them to be recycled. Kind of called around to some area career centers and vo-tech schools, and they’re the ones who told me about the Reclaim, Reuse, and Recycle entity out of Chillicothe.”

Donations will be accepted from 9:00 to 5:00 in the parking lot of the library. Most items are free to leave.
