A Hardin-Central student will return to a Ray County courtroom in August. The preliminary hearing for Jeffrey Ellis, 17, was postponed, according to court documents filed on Tuesday. Ellis has been charged with forcible sodomy after he and another student allegedly sexually assaulted a classmate at the school last year. No reason has been given as to why the case was continued again. The teen will be called to appear in court on Aug. 21 at 2:30 p.m.
