Emergency Personnel Injured in Crash

A pair of accidents in Saline County Saturday injured emergency crew members and two Nebraska residents. Reports indicate Santos Ramirez, 56, was heading west at Marshall Junction when he slid off the road, hit a guard rail and then overturned. Ramirez and his passenger Maria Ramirez, 56, both had serious injuries and were taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital.
While crews were working on the scene Timothy Perez, 36, of Maryland Heights was heading west when he went off the road and hit the Ramirez’s vehicle pushing it into five emergency personnel. They all sustained serious to minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals.
