Empty Building Collapse in Kingston

An abandoned building, seen here in a photo provided by a KMZU listener, was located at the intersection of Highway 13 and Route HH.

An empty early 20th century building partially collapsed in Kingston Sunday at 24 East Main.

Bricks and mortar dropped onto and blocked a portion of Highway 13 at H H just after 6 o’clock.  Chief Deputy in Caldwell County Bob Guffy, talks about the incident.

The roadway was shut down till approximately 3:20 Monday morning. Guffy added that authorities are thankful there were no injuries.
