Evans Pleads Guilty

A former Richmond teacher appeared in a Ray County Courtroom Tuesday morning.  Cody Evans, 25, admitted to sending text messages of a sexual nature to some of his students.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment of a person less than 17 years of age.  The Kansas City resident was originally charged with two counts of sexual misconduct.

Evans has been sentenced to one year of incarceration for each count, but received a suspended execution of sentence and will serve two years of probation.
