An Excelsior Springs man charged with securities fraud and filing false tax returns learned his fate Thursday.  Daniel Meredith, 51, was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison without parole and ordered to pay more than $3.5 in restitution.  He reportedly failed to properly invest funds from his victims and instead gambled it away at Kansas City area casinos.
