Police in Grandview are investigating the shooting death of a man who died Monday night at a local hospital.
According to reports, officers responded to a home in the 6300 block of 127th Street in Grandview around 11:30 p.m. after several people called saying they heard the the sounds of gun shots.
Officers discovered that Gregory Moody, 41, had been taken by his family to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Moody later died from his wounds.
According to people at the scene, the victim is a father of four, who owned a carpet repair and installation company. They say he was attempting to get the gun away from the gunman when he was shot.
Detectives located two juveniles, a 13- and 14-year-old at a home in Kansas City who were taken in for questioning.
