JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. –¬†Five people died in traffic crashes during the 2018 Labor Day holiday weekend.

Last year, there were 11 fatalities. The 2018 counting period ran from 6 p.m., Friday, August 31, through 11:59 p.m., Monday, September 3, 2018.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the following:
258 – Crashes
92 – Injuries
5 – Fatalities
97 – Driving While Intoxicated arrests

There were 9 boating crashes with 3 injuries and no fatalities this year.
