PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Kansas City man was sentenced Friday, to 34 years in prison for a 2017 homicide in Pettis County.
Ronald Maurice Cage, 31, pleaded guilty in September to charges of second degree murder, robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. Cage admitted to the August 2017 shooting that killed Leon Hinckley, 28, of Windsor, at a trailer park West of Sedalia.
Cage received consecutive sentences of 25 and 9 years for murder and robbery, a 30 year concurrent sentence for armed criminal action and 7 year concurrent sentence for the weapon violation.
A co-defendant, Branden L. Hendren, 25, of Kansas City was sentenced last month to 30 years in prison.
