The annual financial aid meeting at Chillicothe High School is being held Monday. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to counselor Cynthia Baker:
Baker said the evening will be an opportunity for students to prepare for loan applications and scholarship opportunities. “It’s some general information about how to apply for financial aid at the college level,” said Baker,” This will include any technical school they might be attending. We will go through the FAFSA which is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid packet. We’ll just point out some things that they need to be careful of and how they can apply online.”
There will be a variety of additional information offered as well in an effort to make certain students are fully prepared. “We will cover state and local scholarships that are going to be available especially for our students at Chillicothe, though students from other area schools are welcome to attend,” said Baker,” There will also be a review of the A+ requirements and where students stand if they plan to use that program to continue their education.”
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons.
