Firearms reported stolen in Saline County, investigation underway

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Multiple reports have been filed in the past few days in Saline County regarding stolen firearms.

A release from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office indicates that one theft occurred between 4:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. this past Saturday, November 18, in the 20300 block of 125th Road in Sweet Springs. Other undisclosed items worth more than $500 were reported stolen from the residence as well.

The second alleged theft occurred in the 1200 block of North Knob Oak Drive in Marshall between 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov 17 and 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 18.

An investigation into the thefts is ongoing and it is not known if there is a link between the alleged crimes. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Saline County Sheriff’s Office at (660) 886-5511.
