Firm Predicts Increase in Harvest Numbers

Informa Economics expects the U.S. Department of Agriculture to raise the forecasts for this year’s U.S. corn and soybean crops.  The private analytical firm predicts the USDA monthly supply and demand report will show a national corn yield of 127 bushels per acre and a total production of 11.194 billion bushels.

The company expects a national soybean production of 2.860 billion bushels with a yield of 37.8 bushels an acre.  The report is scheduled for release Thursday.
